Craiova is easy to explore on foot or with a short taxi ride. Here is a route for a weekend.

Nicolae Romanescu Park

One of the largest and best-kept parks in the country, good for a morning walk or an afternoon by the lake.

Housed in a palace in the city centre, with collections of Romanian and international art.

If you are in town in the evening, check the theatre programme. A night at a show is a good way to end the day.

A quiet spot for a break, especially in spring and summer.

Stroll the streets of the centre, with old buildings, cafés and terraces. Casa Băniei is here too.
